Kayaks For SaleThe university of Cumbria is selling some of it's older kayaks. They are still in good condition and there is nothing wrong with them. They are general purpose boats. There are 12 of them! Selling at between £30 and £50 each (depending on how good your bartering skills are!). Feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer them!
Re: Kayaks For SaleIs this so they can pay for Ambleside campus?

Stand Out - Embarrassing himself in front of people he wants to impress since 1992.
Re: Kayaks For Salehaha yep!
Nah, the uni just has better, newer boats now and doesn't need all of it's older boats.
Re: Kayaks For Salesurely this thread should be in the classifieds section,
Re: Kayaks For Sale^ Wot he said.
(although I doubt it's going to be a Liquidlogic Jefe Grande or Remix XP10 If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, you probably misunderstood the order from HQAC.
Re: Kayaks For Sale
It certainly isn't either of those I will try and find out more details for you!
Re: Kayaks For SaleOk the Kayaks are made by Perception. There are twelve kayaks. There are two different models - Dancers and Europas. They were bought by the university around 1990, at the time these kayaks were some of the best on the market. They are made out of plastic and, although quite scratched, will continue to be good boats for many years. They are lightweight and stable, making them ideal for introducing cadets to kayaking.
The cost is £40 per kayak, however if you want to buy sort of five or more the university would be open to making a deal! If I get chance this weekend I will take a wander along to where we keep the kayaks to take some photos! If you need any more info, let me know! NH
Re: Kayaks For SaleAnd they're quite forgiving for those of a bigger frame!

Re: Kayaks For Saleand the dancers are good for novice paddlers of a taller frame - I'm 6'4" but back when i was a mere 6' 2" a few years ago I used to paddle a dancer with only a mild degree of discomfort after long periods of time (and I mean after a 6 hour river trip)
