Development Air Cadet Central is a constantly evolving site with projects on the go all of the time. Here are a few of ACCs ideas in development... phpBB3 Coming soon to ACC, phpBB3 is already being tested by the moderators. The new version brings with it several important features from our side of the fence, but more importantly for you, phpBB3 brings you the ability to add attachments to your posts, bookmark your favourite topics, manage your PMs into folders, automatically block posts from people you don't like and much much more. phpBB3 is currently in Beta 4 and the final release is due soon. Document Store The Document Store is being developed to provide a document colloboration environment. So far several off the shelf applications have been tried, one of which crashed the dev server. If you know of a good application that woudl suit our needs then PM acec or DJRice ACC Clothing Expect to see ACC clothing on sale soon after the New Year. Server move A new server is being considered for sometime in the 1st qtr of 2007. This will alleviate problems experienced from time to time when the server usage reaches peak, causing timeouts and slow responses. This all depends on our kind hosts, m8y web hosting who host Air Cadet Central free of charge. Google Earth Project On the back burner for a while, this is a project that will map all of the ATC units on Google Earth. As there are over 1,000 ATC units including VGS, AEF, Wing and Region HQs to add, it's taking some time to verify the location of each unit. And finally...
