ACC Image Challenge

Over the next twelve months, you are invited to submit photographs to the ACC Image Challenge that you have taken. There are various themes throughout the year to get you thinking creatively. At the end of the year, the winners for each round will be entered in to a vote off to find the ACC Image Challenge Photographer of the Year. You don't need any special gear to enter this competiton, just a standard compact digital.

September - Engineering
October - Aircraft
November - Sport
December - Photoshopped
January - Wildlife
February - Shadows
March - The City
April - Nightfall

The Rules

* Each user is allowed to submit ONE photo for consideration. You may change your submitted photo at any time up to the due date. Just edit your original post.
* There is no maximum or minimum image size, we are not here to discriminate against hardware.
* Only very light editing is allowed. Adjustment of Levels, Colour Correction, Contrast, Sharpening and Cropping is allowed. (Except for Photoshopped theme).
* The competition thread will be closed at the specified time (end of the month). No extra entries will be accepted, except under special circumstances.
* Entries breaking these rules will not be entered.
* The forum policy must be followed.
* After the voting process, the winner will be announced and all entries except for the top 3 will be removed from the forum.

The Process

* Please keep the image size to less than 512Kb
* Images must be no wider than 800 pixels
* Go out and take a photo (pleasedon't use any photo's you already have), fitting in the theme and rules.
* Post your entry in this thread using the image attachment procedure.
* When the due date passes, the entries thread will be closed, and a voting thread created to determine the favourite.
* You will not be able to vote for your own entry.
* Entry is open to all members of ACC

The Tips

* Think laterally, not literally. Makes for an interesting piece.
* Try to make everyone think about what they're looking at.
* Do what YOU think is right. Art is very subjective. What's great to you, may not be to someone else, etc.
* Title your work, it will make your choices more obvious
* This is nothing serious, have fun while you're doing it.

The winners of competitions will be decided from all eligible entries that arrive by midnight of the competition closing date. No responsibility will be taken for lost or damaged entries. In the event of any dispute the judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Only one entry is permitted per person. The winner will be notified by email no later than seven days after the closing date. No cash alternatives will be offered.

In the event that the prizes offered are unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.

Competitions are open to residents in the UK. Competitions are not open to moderators of Air Cadet Central and their various affiliates, agencies, suppliers, sponsors and members of employees' immediate families.

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
